Please read the following carefully as making a booking with us is in on the understanding that these terms and conditions ARE AGREED and accepted by you.
Any behaviour deemed as being disrespectful to other campers OR our holiday cottage guests will result in removal from the campsite; there are no warnings or exceptions; if you can’t comply with our simple rules please do not book to stay at The Cud Life!
(Only nice people who have respect for other people, please!)
Be respectful to other campers and your surroundings - This used to be our only rule but some people have made us have to explain what this means in further detail. If you are someone that understands this without explanation, we are delighted and look forward to welcoming you!
Ensure everyone gets a restful night with no noise after 10.30pm - This includes music, loud talking/shouting/laughing (remember this is louder than you think when you have had a drink!). It is really important to us that everyone gets a good night's sleep so that they can make the most of their days here in beautiful North Yorkshire and as our house and holiday cottages overlook the campsite we would all like our sleep too – no one likes an angry farmer with no sleep!
For the enjoyment and safety of our campers and cottage guests, individual firepits are not permitted. We endeavour to provide seasoned, untreated wood for the communal firepit in the centre of the campsite on a Saturday night only, weather permitting and providing we are confident the fire will be treated with respect.
BBQs over 50cm can be used anywhere and those under can be used only in the central area.
Smoking is not permitted in or around the toilet block and cigarette ends to be disposed of appropriately.
Children must be supervised at all times - This is a working farm and there are many dangers. For obvious reasons, it is essential that children are not allowed to roam free away from the camping field, around the fire area or toilet block unsupervised. However, we are very family-friendly and welcome families to share our special place.
Dogs must be on leads, pick up after them and do not allow them to be a nuisance - It is essential that all dog fouling is picked up due to the harm it can cause cattle and that dogs are kept on a lead at ALL TIMES. We have long leads available if required to borrow. Excessive barking is not acceptable and dogs must not be left unattended for this reason but please ask us as we may be able to accommodate dogs in emergencies. (Dogs must be pre-booked on the booking form as we allow only a limited number.)
Rubbish, Recycling and Electricity – We would appreciate your cooperation in not leaving anything other than general food and domestic waste (we were left a vacuum cleaner on our first weekend!). Rubbish is to be placed in bin bags before putting in the wheelie bins. Please use the electricity, hot water and toilets with care and try not to be wasteful - especially heating awnings overnight! The use of electric is monitored on each pitch.
Enjoy your stay! The whole reason we have the rules above is for our final rule which is for all of our campers and caravanners to enjoy their stay!
Simple Pricing per night:
