Here are just a few changes for you to be aware of:
CAMPSITE: Our campsite will be open from 12th April 2020 WITHOUT the toilets and showers. We are, therefore, accepting, ONLY campervans, caravans and motorhomes with their own enclosed onboard facilities.
We will not be having our Saturday night communal firepit and have reduced the numbers of pitches available so as to ensure social distancing.
We plan to open our toilets and showers on the 1st July, subject to it being safe to do so for our guests and our family.
From this point, we hope to be able to accept tents and other guests that require the toilets and showers.
ALL guests must continue to wash or sanitise their hands, at our designated point, prior to using the water or waste taps – anyone found not doing this will have to leave the site immediately.
Ensuring everyone’s safety is paramount to us.
COTTAGES: The cottages will open on 12th April to single household bookings only. We aim to keep our departure time as 10 am, all guests must depart promptly and open the windows (instructions will be left in each cottage) to ensure the safety of us and our cleaners.
We have had to remove a lot of items such as soft furnishings, wellies, toys and books that we consider make our cottages unique.
However, we have boxed toys available (which we sanitise and store between bookings) Additional items such as specific cookware can be requested at any time.
COOKSHOP: Our cookshop will reopen every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm (the same time as our campsite arrivals) and by appointment from 12th April.
Masks are compulsory, anyone without can be served outside. As well as stocking lots of local produce we take orders for Kendalls Farm Butchers for meat and delicious pies, KD Fruiterers for their amazing fresh fruit and veg (so you shouldn’t need to visit a supermarket. However, there is an Aldi under a mile away!)
If you would like a list of available food, please email us or you can find a copy on cookingfantastic.co.uk.
Orders can be arranged most days and not just when the shop is open. Most importantly we can’t wait to see you all and to share our lovely special piece of Yorkshire with those that appreciate it as much as we do.
